CupBattle is published by TubiWay ("we", "us", "our"). We operate the CupBattle mobile app and related pages at cupbattle.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and your choices.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to users of the CupBattle Android app and any web pages we operate. You can browse published tournaments without an account. An account is required to create or join battles, submit predictions, and appear on leaderboards.

2. Information we collect

Account information

• Email address — when you sign up or sign in with email and password.
• Display name — shown in battles and leaderboards; you can change it in the app profile.
• Authentication data — handled by our auth provider (passwords are hashed; we do not store plain-text passwords).

App activity

• Battles you create or join, invite codes you use, match predictions, and scores/points calculated from those predictions.
• Tournament and match data you view (public catalog content hosted in our database).

Technical data

• Standard server and security logs from our hosting providers (e.g. request timestamps, error logs). We do not use advertising trackers in the app.

What we do not collect

• Precise location, contacts, photos, or files from your device.
• Payment or billing information (the app is free; no in-app purchases).

3. How we use information

• Provide and operate the app (auth, battles, predictions, leaderboards).
• Sync match results and standings for tournaments you follow.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.
• Respond to support or legal requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

Where applicable, we process data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), based on our legitimate interests (security and product improvement), and where required, your consent.

5. Service providers

We use trusted processors to run the service, including:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and API hosting.
• Expo / EAS — mobile app builds and delivery infrastructure.
• Vercel (or similar) — hosting for this website and privacy page.

These providers process data on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards. If you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g. Google or Apple) when enabled, that provider's privacy policy also applies to the sign-in step.

6. Retention

We keep account and battle data while your account is active. Logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Tournament catalog data may remain after account deletion where it is not personal to you.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access / update — view or edit your display name in the app; email is tied to your login.
• Delete — in the CupBattle app go to Profile → Delete account. You can also follow the steps at cupbattle.com/delete-account, or email waytubi@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. We will delete or anonymize personal data unless we must retain it for legal reasons.
• Opt out of marketing — we do not send marketing emails today; if we do in future, you may unsubscribe.

EEA/UK residents may also have rights to object, restrict processing, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Children

CupBattle is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use a strong, unique password for your account.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
